Rachel Grant is a textile artist who takes a mixed media approach to examining the spaces that we inhabit and how these spaces are connected, or have the potential to connect, to who we are as individuals and communities.
Rachel is interested in things that are hidden, overlooked or neglected both in people and in places. Her work is largely inspired by histories, personal narratives and the powerful meanings behind them.
Rachel's practice involves both commercial work for gallery spaces, and socially engaged commissions that aim to site the work out of gallery settings.
